| Neon Genesis Evagelion takes place in the year 2015, where half the world's population has been wiped out due to a very weird explosion in the polar ice caps 15 years ago. With strange beings called Angels threatening the rest of the human race, man kinds only defense are the Evangelions - Gigantic robots that, for some reason can only be piloted by 15 year old children. (coincidence that they were born the year of the ice cap explosion? - I think not!) Our main character is Shinji Ikari, whose life gets turned upside down and inside out when he is forced to reunite with his father who he hasn't seen for years, and work for him to become the pilot to Eva Unit 01. The begining of the series is very funny and includes many fighting sequences. Later the show becomes much more envolved and transcends to a much more serious attitude. All together the seires is completely awesome and is a must see for anyone who has even the slightest interest in anime. ^_^ more . . . |
Bubblegum Crisis came out in the 1980's and was a major hit from the start. There is an 8 part OVA followed by a 3 part OVA called Bubblegum Crash. And just recently they came out with a long awaited remake of the seires called Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040. In my opinion, while all of the Bubblegum series are so awesome, the original 8 part OVA is by far the best. Four women in high tech armored hard suits fight against this evil corporation Genom, who uses their business as a front to hide their evil wrong doings. The cast is so loveable and the hard suits and mechs are way cool. Definately check out this classic cyber punk adventure.more . . . |

| El hazard is the tale of Makoto Mizuhara, a normal high school boy just trying to live a normal life, until himself and 3 friends get sucked through a portal bringing them to the magical world of El-Hazard. Here the world is split between the wonderful kingdom of Rushtaria, who wish for peace, and the evil land of the Bugrom, that wages war to contorl the world completely. Throw in 3 awesomely cool preistesses who fight for Rushtaria and can contol the elements and you got your crew. El-Hazard is really funny, and has awesome art and animation. I really good light series for anyone who doesn't want to get confused or be all serious. Currently their are 2 OVA's and 2 TV series, they are all basicly the same so check any of the out more . . . | Slayers is the magical tale of Linna Inverse. Now as far as i know there are like a million variations of the Slayers series out, and each one has its own unique story line. But don't worry they all include Linna Inverse as their main character and are all bascially about her magic adventures of dungeons and dragons with Linna always craving food and constantly being told about how small her breasts are, any Slayers series is sure to be funnny and entertaining. ^_^ more . . . |
